Lionel Messi has recalled his 2022 World Cup victory in Qatar, marking one year since the final. In his Instagram post, he described the year as “the most beautiful madness of his career” and expressed his gratitude to the entire team.

Argentina defeated France 3-3 and 4-2 on penalties in the final and the triumph was the first of Messi’s career. Angel Di Maria, Lionel Messi scored twice and Kylian Mbappe scored a hat-trick, while Argentine goalkeeper Martinez made a decisive save at the end of added time.
